Testing

Shattuck-St. Mary’s School requires that U.S. applicants for grades 9-12 take the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT), www.ssat.org.  For U.S. students applying to grades 6-8, we require recent standardizd test results that give a comprehensive overview of the student’s academic ability. The SSAT is not required for applicants to grades 6-8 but is strongly recommended.

International candidates for admission to grades 9-12 are required to submit the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). These scores must have been earned within 12 months of the SSM application date. International paperwork that is not in English must be translated and submitted in English.

International candidates applying for admission to grades 6-8 are required to submit the The Secondary Level English Proficiency (SLEP) Test.  These scores must have been earned within 12 months of the SSM application date. International paperwork that is not in English must be translated and submitted in English.
