Our Mission

As a school community, Shattuck-St. Mary's guides young people to be strong in character, mind, body and spirit for a life of learning and service.

Students from 39 states and 17 countries meet at Shattuck-St. Mary's School for an outstanding academic experience in a cooperative campus community. Our student-faculty ratio is 7 to 1 with an average class size of 15. Our demanding coeducational college preparatory program—including rigorous academic, arts and athletics programs—fosters excellence, self-confidence and well-roundedness. SSM graduates go on to excel at premier colleges and universities.

Living and learning within the context of a community cultivates one's character and expands one's potential.
This belief is evident in our challenging curriculum, small class sizes, and, most importantly, our skillful teachers.

If these ideals and opportunities appeal to you, consider applying for admission to Shattuck-St. Mary's School.
