Dobbin Music Center

Classroom instruction for voice, wind, string and percussion instrumental groups takes place in the Dobbin Music Center. Located in the upper level of Dobbin Hall, the Dobbin Music Center (DMC) provides students with a spacious and well-equipped rehearsal room.

The area also contains two Wenger modular practice rooms, gifted by the class of 1947, one of which has new “V-Technology” that allows the acoustic within the room to be electronically altered. The Yamaha Piano Lab, gifted by the class of 1948, has seven state-of-the-art electronic pianos for class and individual practice.

Students at Shattuck-St. Mary’s benefit from regular exposure to all elements of music, through on- and off-campus residencies, clinics, performances and private lessons, as well as visits and classes from nationally known performers and educators.
