My wife Kelly, is a History teacher at the Middle School, daughters Ruby and Alice, Lola the pug, and Harriet the cat.

Favorite Place on Campus

Johnson Gymnasium. I have never seen a high school or college gym like it. Every time I get to coach or play with our students in this gym I feel lucky.

Favorite thing to do in Faribault

Go for family walks at River Bend Nature Center and eating Polish food at my mom’s house

Tin Drum by Gunther Grass; The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami

Why I love to teach

Even though I’m not the in the classroom anymore, I enjoy helping students navigate their high school journeys.  Shattuck-St. Mary’s is an incredibly special place for me, and I love seeing new generations experience it for themselves.

Family time, watching and playing sports, and reading.
