Minnesnowta Days 2012

The Middle School celebrated their annual “Minnesnowta Days” last week! This is when the Middle School takes a snow day and enjoys winter activities! The evening of January 19 began with an ice skating and pizza party at the new rink. Have you ever seen over 100 skaters on that rink at one time? Quite a sight! After skating, a dance was held for those wishing to let loose on the dance floor. Others played Wii, pool and card games. After the dance, girls went to Upper Dobbin for their sleepover, while boys stayed in the upper school student lounge. Sleeping bags were spread out all over the place, and students watched the movie, “Kung Fu Panda.”  About 1:15 a.m. the lights were turned out.

The next morning, warm cinnamon rolls and bagels were delivered to both locations. Students cleaned up and got into their winter snow attire. Off we went to Buck Hill Ski Resort for tubing! It was a little chilly at first, but then the wind died down and the temperature warmed up. It was great fun and the tubing hill was fast! And the best thing was that you rode your tube back up the hill for the next run! A great time was had by all!
