Volunteering
After volunteering her time on the School’s Advisory Committee, a St. Mary’s graduate wrote “Thank you for giving me this opportunity to repay Shattuck-St. Mary’s for a small portion of the good it has done for me and others in the past and to help it continues its mission in the future. I truly believe that my four years in Faribault were a turning point in my life and I will be eternally grateful.”
Why do we need volunteers? We need new ideas and new perspectives. We need to cherish our past and preserve it for the future. We need your time and your talents to assist in roles that include but are not limited to:
- Class agents
- Being on the Alumni Association Board of Directors
- Holding a mock interview for a student for the Public Speaking Class
- Offering your expertise
- Participating as a caller in a phonathon
- Attending SSM gatherings and performances when we come to your part of the world
- Planning your class reunion or being on the committee that does
- Sharing your Shattuck, St. Mary’s, St. James or Shattuck-St. Mary’s experiences with us
