Tim has been a PGA professional for over 30 years, and most recently served as the head golf coach at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay while also running his own highly successful golf academy. Previously, Tim worked at the Green Bay Country Club for 14 years, splitting time between serving as the Director of Golf and the Director of Operations.
Teaching and coaching have been major focuses during Tim’s career. He is a certified Arnold Palmer Golf Academy Instructor, and was named the 2001 PGA Wisconsin Section Teacher of the Year. Earlier in his career, Tim was also the head coach for four years at Briar Cliff College. Tim developed a successful junior golf program while at Green Bay CC, and helped his students earn multiple Golfer of the Year awards. Currently four of Tim’s students are competing collegiately at the Division 1 level.
Tim has also been an active member in the PGA during his career. From 2001-2003, Tim served as the Secretary of the Wisconsin Section PGA, and followed that with serving as the Vice President for two years before becoming the President from 2005-2007.
Kelly sorensen, Assistant Coach & Operational Advisor

As a two-sport professional and master’s degree recipient, Kelly has a 30-year proven track record in coaching, leadership and improving operational efficiencies. He has recruited, trained, and motivated numerous athletes and management level professionals and possesses a natural ability for organizing and mobilizing people toward the achievement of a clear goal.
Kelly earned his Professional Golfers Association (PGA) Membership status and went on to teach the game while managing Semi-Private Golf facilities for California based American Golf Corporation. During his tenure with American Golf, Kelly was promoted to Regional Operations Executive and had direct oversight on golf operations, food and beverage, maintenance, administration, and human resource management of more than a dozen Golf Facilities.
As our Golf COE Assistant Coach and Legacy Golf Course Advisor, Kelly shares his operations experience with our Management Team at The Legacy and applies his coaching and teaching philosophies with our Golf COE Student Athletes. Recently, Kelly became a certified instructor of “FlowCode”. FlowCode is a framework for in-game mental strategies, principles, and techniques that take athletes from fear to the state of flow, the state of optimal performance, the zone where our athletes can perform at their best. As a FlowCode certified Coach, Kelly provides our students with an effective and straightforward approach to mental game preparation.
