Sports Medicine

With a full-time staff of Certified Athletic Trainers, the Athletic Training Room at Shattuck-St. Mary’s provides the highest quality of evidence-based medicine for our student-athletes and SSM community. We strive to be the best pre-collegiate athletic performance program in the country by implementing best medical practices, encouraging professional development of staff, and collaborating with specialty healthcare providers. Our goal is to maintain the health and safety of our student-athletes while maximizing athletic performance through injury management and patient education.

The Athletic Training Room is centrally located in the Sports Complex and is accessible prior to and through all athletic trainings and games. This facility is outfitted with a treadmill therapy pool, ice bath, and a variety of therapeutic modality tools.
