PURPOSE:
Shattuck-St. Mary’s, an independent college preparatory boarding/day school (grades 6-12) in Faribault, Minnesota, is seeking an Engagement Officer. We are a global community defined by engagement, openness, and persistence. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Engagement Officer works as part of a high-performing, donor-centered team responsible for assisting the SSM Development Department in the retention, renewal, and acquisition of donors. Using email, social media, video conferencing, phone/text, and other available tools, the Engagement Officer stewards’ donors, provides information that deepens their understanding and connection to the school, and solicits them for annual gifts.
This is a full-time, year-round, in office position. Salary will be based on experience and range from $50,000-$60,000. Shattuck staff are eligible to receive unique and generous benefits including student tuition remission and meals on campus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidates should have at least 1-3 years’ experience in direct sales, fundraising, or marketing preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field; equivalent combination of education and experience would be considered
- Knowledge of Shattuck St. Mary’s, our Signature Programs, and school history preferred
- Ability to operate computers, telephones, and other standard office equipment. Ability to focus and complete work in a timely manner. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Ability to travel independently via car and air. Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, squat, and lift or move objects up to 10 pounds.
