Shattuck-St. Mary’s School, a residential boarding school located in Faribault, Minnesota, is seeking applicants interested in joining the pool of casual drivers in our Student Transportation department.  This is a part-time, flexible position; ideal for retirees or those looking to earn extra money without committing to a set schedule.  As a casual driver, you choose shifts or trips that fit around your life and other responsibilities.  

Drivers are responsible for operating the school’s vans and vehicles for the transportation of students around campus, within Faribault, and to the Twin Cities metro area.  Shifts vary and include evenings, weekends, and early mornings.  

Starting pay is $16.00/hour. Round trips to the Minneapolis Airport are paid at a flat rate of $55, with shift differentials for late and very early departures, summer camps, and/or chaperoning minors through airport terminals.                 

Requirements:

  • Must be authorized to work in the US and pass a criminal background check
  • Hold a valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record
  • Have the ability to transport and communicate to students, faculty and staff with social sensitivity, reliability, courtesy, and tactfulness
  • Must be able to pass DOT physical (sight, hearing, range of motion, mental stability, alertness, perform safe vehicle operation, and sound decision making while driving)
