Jason Horstman ’07, a graduate of Shattuck-St. Mary’s, began coaching for the Sabres in 2013. In his first season, he served as the assistant coach for the Bantam Tier I team who went on to win a national championship that year. Horstman also served as head coach of the Midget AA team for three years before transitioning to the AAA team.

In his time as a student-athlete at SSM, Horstman played on the U14, U16, and Prep teams, winning a national title in 2007. He then played in the BCHL for one year before moving on to the USHL/NAHL. Horstman competed at the DIII level in college at St. Mary’s University where he was an all-conference honorable mention his freshman year.
