It is possible that I will not ace AP Physics. It is possible this will be the best year of my life, and it is likely that it will be. The possibilities that a new school year brings are endless and I am looking forward to them. I am excited for new classes and new friends. I am obsessing over college applications and my senior speech. I cannot wait for volleyball season and I am heavily anticipating this year’s theatre performances. But most of all I am excited about the changes that the school itself is going through. With the new soccer teams, dorms, and Centers of Excellence, Shattuck is growing and I am excited to be here and watch it progress. So much is going to change, and it is going to be amazing to watch as the school I love evolves into something even greater. There is so much going on this year, and the fact that I am entering my senior year only adds to that excitement.
I am so happy to be graduating, but I am scared for what the future holds. I am deferring college for two years so I can enlist in the Israeli Defense Force and the enlistment process is scary. Not knowing what my futures is intimidating. But, despite, my fears of the future, I know that this year is going to be great and I am so humbled to be able to experience it.
