Seven players commit to Division I programs and two players commit to Division III colleges.
Nine members of the Shattuck-St. Mary’s Girls Prep hockey team sealed their college commitments on November 11 as part of National Signing Day. Seven of the seniors are bound for Division I colleges including two to the University of Minnesota, two to Harvard University, Quinnipiac University, University of Wisconsin, and Boston University. Two players are headed to Division III programs at Williams College and Plattsburgh State (NY).
As Director of the Girls Hockey program and Girls Prep Head Coach, Gordie Stafford is in his 16th year at Shattuck-St. Mary’s. He had this reflection on the day and his players’ accomplishments. “This day marks another step on these young athletes’ journey toward their dreams. All of our students work so hard, but not all are recognized in this way, so with it also comes the responsibility to keep persevering and being leaders for those who come after them.”
