Meet Abigail Hansen ’17

Abigail Hansen ’17 is a first-year senior who is making the most of her Shattuck-St. Mary’s experience. A native of nearby Owatonna, Minn., Abigail realized last summer that she was seriously interested in pursuing a music conservatory option for college. With that decision made, she also realized that SSM’s Pre-Conservatory Program was just the segue she was seeking between her home-schooling life and college. She arrived at SSM this fall as an accomplished student-musician who understands the need for discipline and practice in her life. 

Recently, Abigail has been recognized by her hometown newspaper as being a finalist for the Distinguished Young Women of Minnesota award, which is the oldest and largest national scholarship program for high school girls. Read more here!
