ScholarShift Stories: Visiting a Creative Agency

Students travel to Minneapolis to tour Knock, Inc., a creative advertising agency.

Led by Director of weCreate Stephanie Vagle, students traveled to Minneapolis to visit the offices of Knock, Inc., a creative advertising agency, as part of a ScholarShift module on Wednesday, January 25.

Students enjoyed a lunch and learn session with Creighton King, vice president of creative execution and Reggie Reyes, vice president of brand experience, and had the opportunity to tour Knock’s Minneapolis headquarters during their visit. Students were also exposed to the creative process of a leading advertising agency and had inside access to how Knock creates love for brands through a variety of audience experiences.

“I really liked listening to how the creative process worked at Knock, and just how much emphasis is placed into the tiny details, like tags on shoes and the texture of a sign,” said Peter Adkins ’18. “I also enjoyed seeing the videos they put together, as those types of projects spark my interest. There are many different kinds of roles at a company like Knock, there’s truly a job and a place for everyone.”

Knock, Inc. is an independent, full-experience creative design agency with clients that include Target, Levi’s Sony, New Balance, Caribou Coffee, L’Oréal Paris, and many other national and international brands. They also have offices in New York City, Chicago, and San Francisco.
