Students from Shattuck-St. Mary’s BioScience, Engineering, and The Major Centers of Excellence and the Honors Program showcased their progressing research to faculty members and peers during the Winter Student Research Symposium on Wednesday, February 15 during 4th and 5th period.
Participating students filled the weCreate Center and Fayfield Hall with their projects on Wednesday and eagerly shared how their projects have evolved since November. Topics ranged from methods of treating arthritis and the evaluation of brain responses to the study of socioeconomics and the Big Bang Theory.
In addition to project posters, students in The Major showcased videos that highlighted their research work in weSolve, and Engineering students held an open house in Fayfield 202 with hands-on demonstrations of their project progress.
Students will continue to improve, refine, and develop their projects throughout the rest of the school year.
