Pre-Conservatory Alumnus to Study with World-Renowned Pianist

Osip Nikiforov ’13 will attend graduate school at the Manhattan School of Music to study with pianist Yefim Bronfman.

Congratulations to pianist Osip Nikiforov ’13, who has been admitted to the Manhattan School of Music where he will pursue his graduate degree under the study of world-renowned pianist Yefim Bronfman.

Osip joined SSM’s Pre-Conservatory Program Center of Excellence during the 2010-2011 school year before attending the University of Minnesota, where he currently studies piano with Alexander Braginsky.

He has won several state and national awards throughout his high school and collegiate career, including First Prize at the Music Teacher National Association Competition-Senior Division in 2011 and First Prize at the Schubert Club National Piano Competition in 2014, among many other notable accomplishments.

Founded in 1918, the Manhattan School of Music is a top conservatory that educates more than 900 undergraduate and graduate music students from more than 50 countries and nearly all 50 states.
