Dutiful research spanning nearly two years in some cases culminated on Monday, April 17, as 15 Shattuck-St. Mary’s Honors Program students presented their work to a large group of peers, faculty, and staff members in weCreate.
The Honors Capstone Presentations began with eight seniors, who were each allotted ten minutes to share their research, walk program attendees through their process, indicate whether their hypothesis was correct, and what they ultimately learned from their work.
Juniors followed with five-minute presentations that provided an overview of each project, how each Honors Program student chose their research topic, and next steps as they continue to develop and hone their work. After the presentations concluded, Honors Program members fielded questions and discussed their work at stations throughout weCreate during a short reception.
Congratulations to all Honors Program participants for their exemplary work and a special thanks to all SSM faculty and staff members that have helped students with their research projects along the way.
