Shattuck-St. Mary’s welcomed back familiar faces to campus for a series of fun events at Reunion 2017 on June 1-4.
Festivities began on Thursday evening with a Honors Classes Reception and Dinner at the Inn, celebrating the Class of 1967 and others who have celebrated their 50th reunion in past years. Friday featured a full slate of activities, beginning with breakfast and campus tours led by Shattuck-St. Mary’s faculty and staff, current students, and young alumni.
Attendees also had the opportunity to play a round at The Legacy, reconnect with current and past SSM faculty and staff members at a meet and greet in the Fayfield Courtyard, attend the Saints’ Memorial Chapel Service, and be present for a special Daughters’ Tea event at Bishop Whipple Chapel during the afternoon. The evening was capped by the annual Rendezvous event at the Inn, followed by class photos and off-campus class dinners.
Saturday featured another full slate of activities, beginning with the Old Shads’ Drill on Parade Field, a service at the Chapel of the Good Shepherd, and additional campus tours and demonstrations by the BioScience and Engineering Centers of Excellence.
The afternoon featured a program highlighted by remarks from SSM President Nick Stoneman, performances from members of the Vocal Performance and Pre-Conservatory Centers of Excellence, and Alumni Associations awards presented in Newhall Auditorium. During the evening, attendees were treated to a delicious dinner in Morgan Refectory, followed by coffee, dessert and a night of reminiscing with old friends at the Yearbook Party.
