Class of 2015 Breaks in New Red Carpet

When students returned from Spring Break on March 9, they were greeted with a change they may not have noticed until they walked right on top of it. A new red carpet was installed in the entrance of Shumway, which welcomes visitors to campus and is also a popular hangout reserved for seniors. During the installation, workers speculated that the carpet hadn’t been replaced since the 1960s. Seniors Linley Brown, Katherine Hughes, and Jeff Kuhns said they were honored to be the first class to walk on the red carpet for what could be another 50-year stretch. “Everyone wants to come hang out here now that there is the new carpet,” Jeff said. “The more people there are, the more fun it is hanging out here.”
