The SSM Mathletes returned from Spring Break a day early to compete in the Minnesota State High School Mathematics League Tourney this past Monday. The competition was held at South St. Paul High School and our students flew in from all over the world to represent Shattuck-St. Mary’s at this event. Even SSM alum Alex Chen ’14 showed up to cheer for and encourage his former team! After the first four individual events, the team found itself in an exciting three-way tie for first place! With just the team event remaining, our students were in it to the very end. Though they slipped to fourth place in the final count, they ended up just five points shy of winning first place. All in all, another very strong season for our Mathletes!
