Francey Hakes was back at SSM to work with both the school community and educators from the Faribault area on how to best keep students safe.
Francey Hakes, a nationally-known advocate and speaker on protecting children, was at Shattuck-St. Mary’s on September 10-11. During the course of her two days on campus, Ms. Hakes offered tailored presentations on best practices for protecting children. She spoke to the faculty and staff and followed their presentation with sessions targeted to upper school students and to middle school students. Ms. Hakes also offered a seminar to Faribault area non-profits and the city’s parks & recreation department on student protection, safety, and security.
This is Ms. Hakes’ third visit to Shattuck-St. Mary’s in four years and is part of Shattuck-St. Mary’s ongoing commitment to providing education and training to adults and students on the topic of child protection and safety.
