Courses Taught

Unfortunately, I don’t teach anymore, but I taught ESL, English, and History at SSM.

I coached basketball and tennis for years, and I miss not having the time to work with those students anymore.

Date Began

Family and Pets

My wife Kelly, History Department Chair and teacher at the Middle School, daughters Ruby and Alice, Lola the pug, Billie Jean King the French bulldog, and Harriet the cat.

Favorite Place on Campus

Johnson Gymnasium. I have never seen a high school or college gym like it. Every time I get to coach or play with our students in this gym I feel lucky.

Favorite thing to do in Faribault

Go for family walks at River Bend Nature Center and eating Polish food at my mom’s house

Favorite Book

Tin Drum by Gunther Grass; The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami

Why I love to teach

Even though I’m not the in the classroom anymore, I enjoy helping students navigate their high school journeys. Shattuck-St. Mary’s is an incredibly special place for me, and I love seeing new generations experience it for themselves.

Family time, watching and playing sports, and reading.
