Family and Pets

I have a husband, James, two children – Laurin ’08 and Nelson ’10. We have a fun but somewhat neurotic rescue dog named Archie.

Favorite Place on Campus

I love the Chapel of the Good Shepherd. Sitting in that space fills me with memories and calms me.

Favorite thing to do in Faribault

I am a huge fan of the apple orchard up the hill from our school and look forward to their opening every August. I also love going to my local farmers’ market – Twiehoff’s.

Favorite Book

I love to read and I think it’s tough to name a favorite. I like reading Cormac McCarthy and John Irving. I also enjoy Alice Munro.

Inspired By

Joan Benoit Samuelson  - she won the first Olympic marathon for women in Los Angeles in 1984. She has continued to be a super competitive distance runner into her 50s.

Distance running, baking banana bread for my advisees, hanging out with my best friend and husband, James.
