22 Sabres Sign NLIs on National Signing Day

On Wednesday, Nov. 8, 22 Shattuck-St. Mary’s senior student-athletes formally announced their commitment to play their respective sports at the collegiate level by signing their NCAA National Letters of Intent to play at Division I or II institutions.

In a special ceremony taking place in Newhall Auditorium, members of the senior class signed their names on the dotted line as coaches, teammates, parents, and friends looked on.

“We are so proud of these students who have made their commitment to play in college,” stated SSM athletic director, Michele Cornish. “They have put in a tremendous amount of work and made sacrifices in pursuit of this goal, and we are so happy to honor them today.”

The Sabre athletes committed to 19 different institutions recognized in the NLI Signing Day program, with the 8th being the first day student-athletes can officially commit in writing to their 2024 schools by signing an NLI.
