FARIBAULT, MINN - Shattuck-St. Mary’s is delighted to announce a significant milestone in its history with the formal naming of its sports complex as “The Putrah Sports Complex” in a special ceremony scheduled for Friday, July 26th at Shattuck-St. Mary’s.

The Putrah family, deeply rooted in the Faribault community and the fabric of Shattuck-St. Mary’s, will be honored for their generous contribution to the School and for their enduring commitment to education and community enrichment.

This contribution is made in honor of the Putrah family’s over 50-year history with Shattuck-St. Mary’s School, Shattuck-St. Mary’s hockey, and the Shattuck-St. Mary’s ice arenas, including the significant contributions made by the late Dale and Kathleen Putrah. This naming, in part, honors their contributions and memory for decades to come.

The journey to the Putrah Sports Complex has been one of collaboration, dedication, and community spirit. Through the tireless efforts and unwavering support of the Putrah family, alongside the Shattuck-St. Mary’s community, this dream has now become a reality.

The commemorative event will take place in the gym of the Shattuck-St. Mary’s Sports Complex. Festivities will commence at 10:00 a.m. with a brief presentation from the Shattuck-St. Mary’s Head of School, Matthew Cavellier, followed by remarks from Trevor Putrah. Following the ceremony, attendees are invited to join the family in the Alumni Room for refreshments.

This naming ceremony not only honors the Putrah family but also underscores the profound impact that individuals and families can have on the educational landscape and the broader community. Shattuck-St. Mary’s extends its deepest gratitude to the Putrah family.
