Shattuck St. Mary's Unveils Vision 2030 Strategic Plan

Shattuck St. Mary's Unveils Vision 2030 Strategic Plan

Shattuck St. Mary's has published Vision 2030: Where Goals Lead, a strategic plan that will guide the School's priorities through the end of the decade.

The plan grew out of conversations with students and alumni, who helped shape a new "Portrait of a Graduate" describing the qualities an SSM education aims to build. That work led to an updated Mission statement, developed with input from the Board of Trustees, employees, parents, and friends of the School: We are a global community defined by engagement, openness, and persistence. Through immersive learning and our signature programs, we empower students to shape and accelerate their goals, grow as individuals, and lead with integrity.

Vision 2030 organizes the School's work around six priorities: distinctive academic and co-curricular programs, exceptional teachers and staff, sustainable financial strength, elevated brand and visibility, strategic stewardship of campus facilities, and high-performing governance. Each area includes a specific goal and a set of measurable tactics that Board and School leadership will track over time.

"This plan is the culmination of an extensive process to understand the next steps Shattuck St. Mary's needs to take to fulfill its mission," said Head of School Matt Cavellier. "Progress on each of our focus areas will be tracked by Board and School leadership to ensure successful implementation of the plan."
